The future of society, government and innovation is sitting in these classrooms today. I believe every student has more in them than they may realize. It is our responsibility to encourage every student to rise to their highest potential.
These are your tax dollars. Every tax dollar should have a clear purpose and be transparent. The use and impact of each tax dollar, whether from parents with students or without, must be carefully considered.
Strengthen our high school students with essential skills for the modern workforce. We must guide students and connect them with industry professionals, enhancing their employability and future career paths.
Every parent should have confidence that their child is learning in a safe and secure environment. Our schools are not only places of academic growth but also places where safety is a top priority.
With 18 years of university teaching experience, I've seen firsthand the challenges educators face. Starting at Simpson College, I observed a decline in critical thinking and communication skills despite rising academic spending. At Chatham University, I mentored seniors, developed their resumes, and conducted mock interviews to prepare them for successful careers.
With 35 years at the VP/Director level for major brands like Blue Cross and UPMC Health Plan, I've led impactful multimillion-dollar decisions, managed large budgets, and driven successful business transformations. This blend of executive leadership and educational experience provided me unique insights that can be used to prepare high school graduates for college and successful careers.
My wife and I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren, who attend elementary and middle schools in Lakeville. As residents, we deeply enjoy being part of this community and are committed to contributing to its continued growth.

My experience bridges the classroom and boardroom, with 18 years teaching at the college level. "After graduation, we're hopefully passing prepared people into the business community. As a board, we need to understand what the business market is that we're passing those folks into and how they need to be prepared.
